Michelle,
It looks like you are moving through Omnibus at a slower pace than we are. Are you going to take more than 1 year to complete? We eliminated most of the secondary readings and are not even doing all the primary readings (for example, reading books 1 and 7 of Herodotus, not all 9). We're ahead of you now, but I will still be checking your blog for good ideas. Thanks for creating it.

Hi, reader mom. I think we got bogged down in The Odyssey. I have a slow reader, so we slowed down to a book of The Odyssey per day. We're finally finished. Now they are reading A Day in Old Athens, which is on the Well Trained Mind recommendations. I thought they needed a break from serious lit. We should be finished with that after next week and will go on to Herodotus. I think we'll only read Books 1,2 & 7.

We'll cover the Omnibus in one yr. I plan to skip a few primary readings and we're reading all of the C. S. Lewis from the secondary readings. I teach that in a co-op class.

Thanks for stopping by!
